ROTARACT CLUB OF MILWAUKEE VOLUNTEERS SERVE 88 FAMILIES AT INTERCHANGE FOOD PANTRY

MILWAUKEE, WI, August 24, 2026. Rotaract Club of Milwaukee volunteers spent this past Saturday at Interchange Food Pantry, helping serve more than 88 families across the Milwaukee community. Members sorted donated grains, vegetables, fruit, meat, and more, along with toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and hygiene products. Every item was then bagged into individualized grocery packages, sized according to the number and ages of the people in each household.

Food security remains a pressing issue in Milwaukee. According to the City of Milwaukee’s FEED-MKE Project, 18.3% of residents and more than 25% of children live in households experiencing food insecurity. Interchange Food Pantry works to meet this need throughout the year, and the Rotaract Club of Milwaukee has been proud to stand alongside them as a consistent volunteer partner for several years running.

“Interchange Food Pantry has been one of our most important community partners for years, and it means a lot to keep showing up for them. Food security is something every Milwaukee neighborhood is dealing with right now, and we are proud to be part of the solution,” said Matthew Drennen, President of the Rotaract Club of Milwaukee.

At our core, the Rotaract Club of Milwaukee is a service organization, and that shows up in everything we do. We are proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Milwaukee, and we welcome anyone, of any background, age 18 and older. There are currently no membership dues while the club continues to grow, and you do not need to be a member to show up and help.
